Tonight I attended the inspection of Huber Heights #777 in the FC Degree. It was a wonderful evening that included the witnessing an Air Force Captain receive an Honorary Membership, as well as the passing of an Air Force Tech Sergeant to the FC Degree. Another highlight was the attendance of nine brothers from Edward Dugger Jr. Military Lodge No. 123 (PHA). Pictures can be see at our Grand Master’s Blog: gmohio.blogspot.com.

Eastern Star #5524th
I attended yet another inspection this evening. This time Eastern Star #55 raised Brother Centers to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason. In attendance were Brother Centers’ grandfather, father, and brother. How fitting considering Most Worshipful’s theme, “Freemasonry – It’s All in the Family.” If you have not been attending inspections this season, I would encourage you to do so. Inspections are a wonderful way to connect to brothers throughout the district. So much can be learned from watching how others do the same degrees.
I just returned from Morrow’s Inspection. The evening was filled with fraternal fellowship as a number of lodges assisted with the craft team. Morrow is a small lodge with a strong community presence.
The series of home lodge inspections of the Grand Master and Presiding Officers of the Appendant Bodies came to a conclusion tonight at Alpha Lodge #729. I had the privilege of attending two of the inspections this year. This is the first time in anyone’s collective memory that this was done. For me tonight’s inspection had an added bonus as I traveled with two of the newest and youngest members of Washington Lodge #17. In addition to Bro. Cole and R.W.Bro. Shields, I was accompanied by Bro. Ken Napper, J.S., and Bro. Sean Carr. Of some note is that in addition to the Grand Master and Presiding Officers of the Appendant Bodies, Ohio DeMolay was also represented in the fact that Sean Carr currently serves as the State Master Councilor. Additional comments and pictures can be seen on the Grand Master’s Blog.
March 4th,
ShareI spent the evening with the Brethren of Oxford Lodge. I went for the purpose of conducting the pre-inspection of their LEO Program and ended up staying for their Stated Meeting. It was wonderful to see W.Bro. Reece back in the East.
